We operate in line with the principles of Enabling Good Lives; our role as support workers is to empower our clients and give them the agency to make their own decisions about their care. We see all of our clients as valued individuals, capable and deserving of choosing the lives they want to lead.
Rather than prescribe care, we work with clients and their whanau to find out how we can best support that person to lead a fulfilling life.
Our support workers are experienced and friendly, the kind of people you’d like to catch up with for a chat and a cup of tea! Wherever possible, we allocate one support worker to each client, so clients know who’ll be coming into their home and can build a strong relationship with their support worker.
We listen to our clients’ needs and make sure they are at the centre of their support. Our clients are valued individuals, and that’s how we treat them: we often go above and beyond the prescribed care to make sure our services are at the right level for each client.
Considerate
Our staff members are thoughtful and considerate and often go beyond prescribed care to make sure clients are safe and comfortable. We believe little things - like a cup of tea, a hand with the dishes or making sure the house is warm and cosy - go a long way!
Reliability
We are dependable, responsible, and focused. Our team will always endeavour to arrive at a convenient time and provide the highest standard of care.
Affirming
We accept all people as they are, for who they are. Every client is treated with respect, empathy and kindness.
Caring
Our staff members genuinely care about their clients and enjoy building a relationship with them. We go above and beyond to ensure our clients are left feeling safe, comfortable and valued.
Dedicated
Our staff members are committed and take ownership of the work they do. We prioritise, because all people’s needs matter.

We work hard to find the right personality ‘fit’ for every client. When someone’s coming into your home several times a week, they become a big part of your life, and it’s important that you can build a relationship. Our clients know their support workers, look forward to their visits, and can trust that they won’t be let down.
All our support workers are working towards or have a minimum of Level 2 Health & Wellbeing training, with many choosing to upskill through Levels 3-4.
We are often contracted to undertake specific tasks around home and community support services. In lay terms, this includes:
We also provide more flexible supports, for example:
Increasingly, clients have more choice and control over what they are able to request. We can be as flexible as clients direct, as long as their requests are in accordance with any required funding guidelines.
Finally, we have nursing staff to provide hands-on support or oversight as necessary.
